BREAKING NEWS!! STAMP DUTY DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED!!

The Chancellor of the Exchequer has just announced an extension to the STAMP DUTY deadline to 30th September 2021!!

After much speculation over recent weeks and a petition to extend the STAMP DUTY HOLIDAY, the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, has just announced in his budget statement for March 2021 that the deadline for the end of the stamp duty holiday will be extended until 30th September 2021!

Currently the nil rate band up to £500,000 will apply as it currently stands until the 30th June 2021.

After 30th June there will be a tapered winding up of the stamp duty holiday with the nil rate band applying to the first £250,000 only, up until 30th September 2021.

This is an extremely welcome move by the Chancellor, as potentially millions of pounds worth of transactions could have failed costing home movers £1000's.

The house moving process has been struggling with the high level of transactions being pushed through an ever closing stamp duty window.

This welcome extension, will help everyone involved achieve the same goal with significantly less stress!!
