Families are being encouraged to get a wiggle on and head to Hyde Hall as The Very Hungry Caterpillar descends on the garden for the summer holidays. The best-selling children’s book, published by Penguin Books celebrates 50 years since its first publication this year. Eric Carle’s much-loved classic will be brought to life with giant willow sculptures and fruits, hands-on craft activities and storytelling.

What? Turtle Bay Summer Sound Clash Festival

Caribbean restaurant, Turtle Bay, has announced a four-day Summer Sound Clash Festival that will take place across seven of its restaurants on selected dates throughout August. The free event will bring authentic reggae vibes to life, with live DJ sessions from a variety of prominent artists that include Laid Black, Tita Lau, Real Roots, DJ Bungy and Wanita Anderson amongst others. The festival will also feature a selection of sunshine-inspired rum cocktails and some of the best Caribbean cuisine on the block that will be available from brunch through until late.
