Why is Great Totham such a popular location?

Church & Hawes explore the reasons why people want to live in Great Totham.

An idyllic semi rural village which is separated into two parts Great Totham North and Great Totham south which are approximately 1.5 miles apart. Great Totham Primary is one of the most highly regarded in the Maldon District. This location offers access into Maldon, Tiptree and Witham with the latter offering easy access onto the A12 and into London from the mainline station.

In terms of further amenities, there are two public houses, The Prince of Wales and The Bull with Bull Meadow opposite being the home of Great Totham Cricket Club. There is a Post Office/General Store located in Great Totham South and a Florist in Great Totham North. Forrester Park is a popular Golf Club located in the village. There are pre school facilities in the village hall and two Churches. There is a village playing field which was formally a gravel pit. Due to it's close proximity residents also benefit from the facilities on offer at Wickham Bishops.

For keen dog walkers and ramblers, the village benefits from miles of stunning Essex Countryside. Parts of Great Totham North were formally listed as Tiptree Heath with one of the areas busiest smuggling operations apparently being run from Spirits Hall on Mountains Road (a property which Church & Hawes had the pleasure of selling).
